Jan Gerber on building mental health and cultivating trust – Hia

Trust isn’t something you can buy your way into, especially in healthcare. In a new column for Hia magazine, one of the most important women’s publications in the Arab world, Jan Gerber shares how he built that trust from scratch at Paracelsus Recovery.
He traces the clinic’s early years, when a highly specialised, high-cost programme and no track record meant slow, deliberate growth built through direct relationships with doctors, family advisers and wealth managers, until the name became established within those circles. He also charts its evolution from a single residential unit to three locations today, with over 15 specialists per patient, while deliberately keeping numbers limited to protect privacy and individualised care.
